  3. Stereotypical driver busted for speeding...

i was about to say the same thing! but still... what an idiot not really, most parts of welly road is straight and down hill! very easy to get up speed. also he would have been in excess of 130km/h to 140km/h. may have been a gtr and not a gtst as someone said as they are cheap as now and plenty around. so what if its over the power to wieght ratio. majority of members here own cars that are over the power to weight ratio. and many of us have disable the speed restrictor/limiter. the cops were too linient, they should have impounded the car for at least 3 monts (extenuating circumstances are present to bypass the initial 48hr impound period). then they should take him to court and make him have a massive fine (about 5k) as well as court costs and impound and towing fees. then they should take away his priviledge to drive for at least 12 months and also give him about 12 months of a community based order at may be the alfred hospital trauma ward to see first hand the damage road accident have to the human body and the emmotional trauma that follows. angelo
  4. In Need Of A 180sx Head Light

  8. Nissan silvia s15 with Toyota 2jz engine

how much is it? cant see price
  9. G'day man, welcome to the forum. Extra 13k premium for a type R is a crazy amount! If I was you I would start upgrading the suspension first. Coil overs, fresh suspension bushes and sub frame mounts, a decent clutch and LSD is what I would be looking at, For less money, a brass gear shifter bushing and a brake master cylinder stopper would also be definitely worthwhile in my opinion. Good luck with it man.
  10. Brake setup on S13

Next part I would buy would be a bmc stopper from GKtech. It's a excellent upgrade on any S-chassis. Get someone to pump the brake pedal while you watch just how much the firewall flexes and you'll get what I mean.
  11. I'm trying to upgrade my brakes on my 1990 240sx hatchback what pads and rotors should I use? So far I have stainless steel hoses in the front, all 4 new OEM calipers, slotted and drilled rotors and advanced auto gold pads
  12. SR20det grinding noise and no boost

I've got a horrible grinding noise but mine is apparently in the exhaust, I've got a relatively new turbo so hope its not that lol. I'd love to fix the problem but haven't honestly bothered trying to fix it yet.
  13. Hi, new to this forum and really any car related forums... owner of an s15 spec s, thinking about getting a few upgrades... what should I start with? I know the spec r is much better but couldn’t afford the extra 13k dollars or 1 300 000¥ looking for a bit more boost long term
  14. SR20det grinding noise and no boost

Sounds turbo related when you put new one on check oil feed lines to turbo for blockages!!
  15. Hello all, I am new here so go easy Okay so I think my SR20det's turbo has reached the end of its life. It is making a loose grinding noise and has negative boost, I am going continue taking the turbo off tomorrow but just wanted to brainstorm. Anyone had anything similar??

  19. The easiest way would to be look on Ebay for a S13 "dash cluster surround" that has all of the switches and blanking covers attached with it rather than trying to find just that particular blanking switch.
  20. Not sure what to do

I vote for just an engine swap. Way cheaper and less downtime, not to mention less hassles.
  21. Hey guys looking for some advice, my sr20det has blows piston rings so need to rebuild question I’m asking I’m torn between either full rebuild with 2.2 stroked, or just do engine swap what’s your thoughts?

  24. Daily Driver S15

Thanks mate! I wouldn't say I know what I'm do per say; just having a go at making the car suit my vision of the ideal S15. Even though there is a large aftermarket scene for this car I feel the focus on it is very narrow with a main focus on it being performance; Looking for alternatives regarding interior parts and different solutions has left me thinking I need to make my own parts.
  25. Daily Driver S15

Seems like you know what you're doing. Good luck adding onto this beauty
