    i was about to say the same thing! but still... what an idiot not really, most parts of welly road is straight and down hill! very easy to get up speed. also he would have been in excess of 130km/h to 140km/h. may have been a gtr and not a gtst as someone said as they are cheap as now and plenty around. so what if its over the power to wieght ratio. majority of members here own cars that are over the power to weight ratio. and many of us have disable the speed restrictor/limiter. the cops were too linient, they should have impounded the car for at least 3 monts (extenuating circumstances are present to bypass the initial 48hr impound period). then they should take him to court and make him have a massive fine (about 5k) as well as court costs and impound and towing fees. then they should take away his priviledge to drive for at least 12 months and also give him about 12 months of a community based order at may be the alfred hospital trauma ward to see first hand the damage road accident have to the human body and the emmotional trauma that follows. angelo

    Hey all I have a fast ticking coming from top end of my sr20. I noticed the sound was faint. Then before my tune 256 poncams were put in and the ticking got louder. Car was tuned made 300hp @ 16psi. However, in order to get rid of the noise I must bleed the lifters. I will have to take the cas out and chain tensioner aswell as the cams to get to the lifters. Will this fuck with my timing and will I have to retune to get the timing back. Or simply get a timing light and just time it back to normal? Can anyone help out and give me some sort of advice thanks below is the video of the noise EDIT also noticed the sound is coming from left side of the rocker cover only.     unfortunately not. a few years back it caught fire at winton. i sold the burnt out wreck to a mate who took the built engine and turbo and dropped it into his track car. i've recently been tossing around the idea of building a stealth 300kw daily s15.
  12. So I recently bought a stock Spec S and had a Sr20det out of another S15 swapped into it. It’s been having an issue stalling when warm. (One of many issues). Ex: pulling up to a stop light on flat ground when the cars been running for 20 minutes, I put the clutch down all the way, blip the gas to get the RPMs up and it will stall out before the revs move. Won’t start for a few minutes at most. when slowing to a stop in neutral or with the clutch down it stalls randomly, won’t start for upwards to 5 minutes When the car is warm and I park it for more than 5 minutes, I’ll come back and it will turn over and then stall almost instantly. The previous owner of the engine just happened to have the same mechanic I have. I was informed that they installed a second coolant temp sensor in the dash with a toggle switch, when the car wouldn’t start he would flip to the in dash sensor and it would start. Mechanic said the CAS tested just fine, still don’t know what caused the cam damage. Car at has a straight pipe exhaust and constantly backfired on daily driving, and smelt extremely rich(I know...no CAT) so my though was instantly CAS, perhaps the mechanic didn’t test it properly? Also: found metal in the oil, opened the valve cover and the intake cam was scratched bad. Got Poncam’s being installed now along with a brand new Vct. Z32 MAF Front mount r32 fuel pump Any advice is much appreciated, been throwing so much money at a car I just wanted for a fun daily driver...     Hi all, I thought it be fitting that my first post is a showcase on my S15 Autech. After deciding on what car I was after the next step was to look for it, unfortunately there was no s15's that met my criteria in Western Australia. So I looked else where, booked a ticket to Sydney and off I went. I inspected the car, bought it and then got it transported to Perth. Did a bit of touristy stuff in Sydney and the following day I was on my way back to Perth. Now it was time to wait for my car to arrive. A couple of weeks later the day had arrived, it was time to pick up the s15. Got my mate to take me to the logistics warehouse and on the drive back, she could see me smiling the entire drive back to my house. After a couple of months daily driving the car, the time had come to start getting the car ready to pass the pits so I could register it in Wa. For those unaware, because I've owned the car for less than a year, it need to pass inspection so it could be registered in Wa, that's the rules here. After my first go getting the car though pits, a few things needed to be changed. First off, the car needed to be raised to legal height, the wheels were to wide and was rubbing against the coilovers, inner-tie rod bushings needed replacing, rear aftermarket tail-lights needed proof that they compile with ADR, this was passed with a simple letter from the manufacture stating that it complies with the ADR and finally I need permits for my coilovers and stainless steal exhaust headers, which are factory however the inspector thought it would be wise to get it written down anyway. Second time past the pits and it passed. Great success! Next began the process of making the car how I want it. New radio, wheels, lights, Cube short shifter. It's my daily so I've kept it clean and enjoyable to drive. Not going for crazy power gains, can't really do much with the Autech engine anyway. Got a custom shift knob made from Billetworkz in America, can definitely recommend them if you're looking to improve your interior. That's about it for my s15. Thanks for reading! James,

  25. Hi Guys, sorry I've been missing in action on this page for a while. Best way to reach my latest updates will be on FB. The biggest would be an SS-2 chra assembly and that would be enough to push over 300rwkws on E85 fuel internal or externally gated on a very free flow engine setup. Also worth mention is we have been quite successful in our ceramic ball bearing turbo system developments and the result of them is miles ahead in terms of overall boost response, throttle response, drive ability and reliability in comparison to traditional 360 degrees journal bearing assemblies. Its not worth charging less to forfeit all those befits, as we move forward, we will no longer be building bush bearing turbos for SR20det engines, but will provide support for existing customers.
