Let us know what you are using, what you have used and what your experiences have been with different products.
If you liked then give it a smile, if you did not then give it a frown.
Give the viscosity if its an oil and other information such as how much you paid and where you grabed it from.

Gearbox
MOTUL GEAR 300 - 75W-90 (RRP - $27/1L) - Autobarn :D
http://www.motul.com.au/

I switched to this from the stock Nissan stuff (Valvoline) and it feels less notchy in my relatively new S15 box. It's only been in for 5000k, so don't know about it's longevity

Engine
Motul 8100 X-cess 5w 40 full synthetic, whats not to like really. Felt a bit smoother through the revs. Excellent viscousity ratings too, not too thick or thin. $56 for 5L if i remember correctly. :)

Gearbox
MOTUL GEAR 300 - 75W-90. Gearbox was a bit tough with the stock oil but this did make it smoother and less twitchy when cold. Results were further enhanced when i used this stuff in the diff too. $30 for 1L, needed 2. :)

Diff
Motul Gearbox 80w-90. Not bad, rate it the same as the stock Nissan fluid. Will be switching to Gear 300 next time, full synthetic all the way. $25 for 1L, needed 2.
Motul Gear300 75w-90 Much better. Alot smoother and slicker gear changes, even when cold. Shits on the non-full-synthetics. Huge improvement. Needed 2 bottles. :)

Radiator
Nulon Long Life Concentrated Coolant mixed with distilled water. Never had any overheating problems. Has all the good features(anti-freeze, anti-boil etc). Might try Castrol Radicool which is premixed next.

Brake
MOTUL DOT 5.1. Increaded brake pedal feel slightly. More solid braking power too. I like :)

All purchased from Autobarn. Car is an aus-spec S15 manual with full exhaust and panel filter.

Engine:
Motul 4100 Turbolight 10W-40. I usually pay around $40-45 I usually keep an eye out for sales and buy a bottle or 2 cause the oil is changed every 5,000. :)

Gearbox:
Castrol VMX80 Manual. This came highly recommended from Silvia forums, so I thought I'd use it. I haven't used anything else, so I wouldn't know to compare it. Overall I'm pretty happy with it, can sometimes be a little stiff when cold, but for the price was a much better option that Redline. :)

shell helix ultra 5-40w. great at handling temperature, stabilises real well at 80 and then slowly rises as i punch on. 15mins later after beating it around the track in summer, temp is hovering around 100 and its time to come in, in winter, after 20 mins on the track, oil temps are around 90. my car has no oil cooler and standard radiator.

tried castrol formula r 5-30w a while ago, temps would just rise too quickly, didn't stabalise, just kept rising. it would be at 100 after 5mins in summer.

Used Mobil 1 gold Fully syn 0W-40 - no complaints, just a bit expensive.

Just changed to motul turbolite 10W-40 - Noticed that motul makes my S15 idle abit rough.

Going to try motul 8100 5W-40 for my next service.

MOTUL RBF 600 FACTORY LINE (RRP - $??.??)- 

Street price is from $25/500ml, just enough to fill the system. hard to beat without spending 4 times as much (Castrol SRF for example) but well worth the $15-20 more than your average fluid. 2 thumbs up from me.

In RB25:

Mobil 1 5w/50 - ok, but a bit thin, too much blow by, goes off under 5000kms

Motul competition 300v 15w50 - excellent, and does a great job of cleaning the engine, lasts for 5000kms no probs. (street and track driven car with over 300rwkw)

In SR20DET

Mobil 1 5w/50 - seemed pretty good, but was changing ever 3000kms, cos the engine seemed a bit rattly around then

Motul 8100 0w/40 - bloody awesome, oil temps dropped on the track (rarely went over 90degC, before always sat between 100-110deg C, and sometimes went over), engine seems to rev more freely, feels like I have an extra 15rwkw. I havent done 3000km yet, but will update as soon as I am there to see if the oil goes off the same as mobil 1. retail is around $60 for 5L - definately wont be using anything else.

I did try a 15w/50, but the engine was sluggish and doughy, took it out straight away, cant remember which oil it was though (think it was castrol???? )

Gearbox:

Redline shockproof lightweight, pretty good, much better than standard gearbox oil - shifts smoother even when cold (both in the skyline and sil) - retail $33/L, and was going strong after 12 months

Motul Gear oil type 2 FF - better again than the redline shockproof - changes are very direct and positive, excellent oil, cant remember how much I paid, will definately keep using it though.

Diff:

Penrite 85W/140 - ok, but seems to go off pretty quick, around 1000 kms and it needs to be changed (diff starts getting clunky). pretty cheap oil

Castrol lsx 85w/140, much better, lasts around 2.5 to 3000 kms before it goes off. Will be trying motuls 85w/140 next, after trying their gearbox oil. (this is with a nismo 2 way) Around 10-12/ L

Redline shockproof lightweight - crap in the diff, diff was rattly and clunky as hell immediately. Took it out after around 100km as it just wasnt getting better. At $33 a litre, I wasnt gaim to try shockproof heavyweight.

Brake fluid:

always used motul RBF 600 - so nothing to compare it to, and nothing bad to say about it either - does the job well.

Im using Helix fully Synthetic 10/w40 with the degreaser - I had to take the rocker cover off and also replace the front seals..she was all as clean as a button..very impressed - normally get it from Supercheap - 5 litres for around 27.00 :)

Put in the Motul Gear300 in the diff of my S15. Feels alot smoother and the gearshifts are really slick now, even in the cold. Real happy with it. I highly recommend Gear300 for the gearbox and diff. A huge improvement. Motul rocks.

I have ran both Fuchs SuperSyn 0w-40 and 5w-50 in my 95 SR20DET. for a winter/summer combo.
Runs very smoothly, good warm up, no complants.
I just bought some Motul 8100, see how that goes.
Had previously used Mobil 1, and Mobil 1 gold in a couple of different grades, i found the Fuchs to be better.

I put some Motul 5100 for my bike, and it revs a lot smoother, idles nice, great warm up. So i thought i'd try motul car oils.
But i had no idea what was in it before

ELF Excellium GP 5W40
costs around $50 for 5L. Thing thing I like about Elf is that they dont bullshit about selling Formula 1 quality oils and then package a different oil. We see Mobil 1 and Shell show market the oil in their F1 cars but thats not the oil we buy. Elf claim that if you ask for their top range synthetic oil then you will get the same synthetic oil as run in Renault F1. Plus being a huge Fernando Alonso supporter you could say I am biased :D

Transmission (Auto): ELF Elmatic G3 LL
It meets the specifications of Audi, BMW, Citroen, Jaguar, Mercedes Benz, Peugeot and Porsche. SO it should do okay in my 180SX.

In Brissie you can get it from Onshore Oils onshore@thehub.com.au

200sx S15
SHELL HELIX 10w 40 $49
RYCO Z445 it has the anti drainback valve $14?
Motul gear 300 80w 90 i think $27 x 2
nulon G70 $14
lil jimmy or somthin oil pump from auto b $20

I did a service on my car today main reason was the gearbox was playing up somthing shocking in my new purchase. my s15

It wouldnt downshift if it was reving moderatly high, was noisy, would grind on upshift from first to second and last night after a mountain run wouldnt let me into 6th

I changed it today and it wasnt too pretty. It was a lil brown and full of tiny shavings
i filled it with some engine oil i had, just gtx3 and took it up the road and dumped it again just to make sure i got the majory of the crap out of the box

I went the MOTUL 300 gear oil and half a tube of the smaller nulon G70
The box is a totaly transformed box smoother! slicker! quieter! easy shifting! and id recomend it to anyone!!
not cheap but its cheaper than a new box and it was all available locally i live in rocky so no redline supplier

also did the oil and filter dumped it while warm poured a lil bit of new oil in just to flush the remainder of the old oil out of the sump id recomend you do this if your old oil is pretty bad

what diff does the 200sx have ive searched but its all inconclusive jdm is helical? and adm is viscous ? or helical ? can anyone confirm ? i need to change oil and want the most suitable oil the manual doesnt even tell me
EDIT: WOOT! i did a seach i have a helical diff!

i just tried ELF 5W40 Fully Synthetic Oil in my 180 today and it turned out to be top stuff. Revs were noticeably quicker and the car warmed up quicker aswell. The company is supposedly from France along with Motul and have been around for yonks but no-one seems to know it. Id reccomend this alongside with Mobil 1 and Motul.
