12 is about as much as you want to go, anything more with the fragile ceramic turbo, the wheels will destroy themselves..

If you have done coilpacks and FMIC surely you know how a turbo works, if not, google is the most powerful research tool out there.

The world is your oyster.

My mate ran 14psi no worries. No tuning issues, no turbo issues.

But i couldnt run more than 10 on a stock ecu :(. Depends on the age and history of the car i guess.

You are wasting your time with boost at this point. Upgrade your fuel pump and upgrade your dump pipe and catalytic convertor. There is no real point running a 3 inch cat back system when your restriction is at the beginning. Get a dump pipe that has a separate pipe for the wastegate that will plumb back in to the front pipe. If you are running a standard cat than this is also a small diameter and most likely half blocked. So go buy a 3 inch performance cat. It will cost you a few dollars but at least then it's all legal.

What dont you understand?

You have a stock turbo. As long as u have the basic 3'' dump your fine. Dont worry about split and bellmouth shit untill you get serious.

Please dont up your boost to 15-16psi on stock turbo.

The most that it should EVER go is 12psi and thats even after getting it tuned.

I ran mine at 10psi, 200kw tuned. Thats because i wanted a reliable car for track days!!

Oh and yes fuel pump is a must. Then get your car tuned and you will love it, till you want more power and upgrade turbo, injectors etc.

don't run your stock turbo past 12psi. it will die fark quicker than its already limited life at 12psi. don't worry about haleb and his cousin's cousin who ran 22 psi and made 400rwkw for a year on a stock turbo.
if you haven't already done, get a exhaust from the turbo back, instead of a cat back
get a decent electronic boost controller, and if you are stuck for options but have money to spend to make it go quicker, get an aftermarket ecu. power fc etc.
after that, it will be time to upgrade your turbo and your fuel system.

otherwise, anther mod that will give you enjoyment, is suspension and brakes. get decent pads, and a set of coilovers. you will love it.

Of if you know that you are not going to upgrade the stock turbo anytime soon, then just get your stock ECU remapped.

Yes R33 stock ecus can be remapped. I got it done for 400-500 by toshi 2 years ago or was it 3 hmmmm. Dont know who toshi is then search SAU and or my threads.

Why spend 1.2k for a powerfc plus tuning costs when you can acheive the same results by a remap.

Factory Boost cut was set to 15PSI... You can run it on this, probably not recomended to keep thrashing it out at this pressure.

Top's I would run would be 12-14 (I'm running 10, might go to 13 when I get frontmount etc)

running it at 12psi fine
running it at 14psi your tempting a quick death to you turbo cos when the ceramic wheel blows out the exhaust you will wish you left it at 12psi.boosting a old turbo not the best idea unless you have plans of changing it.

AS i am not gonna go for massive power figures and only doing basic mods on my r34 am looking at getting a nistune definitely seems to be the way to go from what i have heard
