The factory solenoid is set so that it makes 5psi before 4500 rpm and then 7psi after that. No it won't make 7-10psi grounding the solenoid will make it produce 7psi the whole time

^^^ does it? i did mine afew weeks ago, first i was on stock boost 5-7psi i cutted 1 of my boost solenoid wire and grounded it, then i started to have 10psi as low then 12psi as high?

my aftermarket boost gauge and standard boost gauge reading is

0.69 bar - 10psi ( low )

If it's grounded properly it should no longer have a low/high setting as when the solenoid is grounded it is open. Do you have FMIC and exhaust? these could be why you have increased boost no idea why it has 2 stages of boost but unless it hasn't been grounded properly
